Parents look for diaper-free-time alternatives as babies grow. Moms discuss reusable diaper-free products and suggest trying different options based on baby's size and mobility.
⚠️ Caution:Always supervise diaper-free time to avoid mess + slipping. Ensure baby stays warm and comfortable.
Parents want diaper-free time to reduce rashes but struggle once babies outgrow langots. They look for practical alternatives that work with crawling/walking babies.
Here's what moms in our community shared based on their own experience.
Set a reminder and take the baby to the washroom every hour. Understand the baby's poop routine (mine pooped twice a day, on waking and in the evening). Use a waterproof mattress cover and extra wetproofing sheets, talk to the baby about telling you when they need to pee, and watch for their cues since every baby is different.
I use SuperBottoms langots. Small is for babies up to 5 kg and large for 5-10 kg, but sizing can vary since they are hand-stitched.
I mostly use langots (cotton/muslin, some thicker SuperBottoms ones). They help keep a count of pee and poop, help prevent rashes, are more hygienic and create less waste.
For my son around 6 months, dry-feel langots started getting tight, so I switched to their cloth diapers, which are very useful. After 6-7 months you could use potty-training padded underwear as well.
