Empowering mothers worldwide through connection, support, and shared experiences ✨
Experiences with SuperBottoms are mixed - many find the langots and Uno diaper good and rash-free if changed on time, while others find them overhyped, thick or prone to side leaks; Advanso, Allter, Mylo, Healofy, KidsNeed and Blushbaby are named as alternatives, and most moms still use a disposable at night.
⚠️ Caution:Any diaper - cloth or disposable - left wet too long can cause rashes; change promptly. If a brand consistently triggers a rash, switch and consult a pediatrician, since rashes can also stem from thrush or sensitivity rather than the diaper itself.
Parents weigh comfort, breathability, cost and the fear of rashes, and worry whether reusables can really hold enough or whether they're paying a premium for hype. The community offers honest, divided experience: many moms use SuperBottoms langots and Uno diapers rash-free for months as long as they change on time, others were disappointed by leaks, thickness or price and found Advanso, Allter or Blushbaby better - and the recurring reassurance is that cloth for daytime plus a disposable at night is a practical middle path that works for most families.
Here's what moms in our community shared based on their own experience.
SuperBottoms are good - absorb about 2 pees, but can be a bit warm for summer.
SuperBottoms langots hold 1 pee and the Uno diaper holds 4-5 pees; no rashes if you change on time, beyond capacity it gets wet like mul cotton.
I didn't like SuperBottoms at all and gave up on reusables after trying them; found them overhyped, pricey and not truly dry. Now I use regular nappies and Huggies at night.
SuperBottoms absorption is okay but it leaks on the side, so I use a 2+1 AIO (extra side cover) for full nights.
Buy from the SuperBottoms website, not the 'basic' Amazon version - the snaps differ; the Uno/Uno Luxe is good.
I found SuperBottoms cooler than regular plasticky diapers, but Allter is cooler still, though more expensive and often out of stock.
Advanso worked better than SuperBottoms for my baby and came with an extra insert; KidsNeed is also good and well priced.
Mylo has good reviews; Healofy was also good early on.
Blushbaby Premium Reusable cloth diapers are really good.
SuperBottoms gave my baby a terrible rash at 10 months - too thick - but many swear by it from the start.
Use cloth/dry-feel langots during the day at home and a disposable (e.g. Pampers) for night and outings.
Pre-wash before first use; wash with detergent powder only (not liquid). For diaper-free time use dry-feel or cotton/muslin langots. Hand wash is simple per the instructions; a rinse then 60-degree cycle keeps absorbency and dries fast.
