Empowering mothers worldwide through connection, support, and shared experiences ✨
Lightweight, foldable strollers like LuvLap Joy, R for Rabbit Pocket, and Chicco Liteway are popular as secondary strollers in India. Look for one-hand fold, lightweight frame, and compact folded size.
⚠️ Caution:Ensure the stroller has a 5-point harness and a sturdy frame. Cheap strollers may have locking mechanisms that fail. Never hang heavy bags on handles — it can tip over. Always use the harness even for quick outings.
Parents wonder if they really need a second stroller or if it's an unnecessary expense. Moms say the bulky pram from the registry becomes impractical fast — a lightweight secondary stroller for malls, markets, and travel ends up being the one you use daily.
Here's what moms in our community shared based on their own experience.
LuvLap Joy stroller is our go-to for quick outings. Light, compact fold, and under ₹3,000. Not the best build quality but perfect as a secondary stroller.
R for Rabbit Pocket stroller — folds small enough to fit in a car boot with luggage. Great for travel and mall outings.
We use the Chicco Liteway as our everyday stroller now. It's light, reclines fully, and the one-hand fold is a lifesaver with baby in the other arm.
If budget allows, the Babyzen YOYO is the gold standard for compact strollers — cabin luggage size when folded. Expensive but worth it for frequent travellers.
Cybex Libelle is very compact and sleek. GB Pokit is lightweight. Both good options if you can find them in India. Cybex Agis is another option.
We got the Chicco Cortina CX. Good wheels, durable, but not cabin friendly.
We have the Joie Muse stroller. It has seen pretty terrible roads and a lot of travel. Good, but not cabin friendly.
A lot depends on your needs. Heavy durable strollers have lots of storage and stability but are bulkier. Lightweight umbrella strollers are light, basic, easy to carry around and less expensive.
Nuna is pretty good, and a lot of people use Joie.
Yoyo3 - hands down the best. Fits in overhead storage and the suspension is incredible. It has a newborn attachment to lay flat. The only issue is it's not a one-hand fold and the newborn pack is separate. The 6m+ recline is 130 degrees, so not fully flat.
Top strollers I considered: Cybex Libelle or Coya, Yoyo, Chicco travel system, Ergobaby Metro, and Bugaboo Butterfly. I went with the Bugaboo Butterfly. Ergobaby Metro is also very loved.
We use the Joie Pact Pro travel system - quite sturdy but lightweight, travel and cabin friendly (birth to 22kg).
Cybex Libelle is very compact, GB Pockit is quite lightweight, YOYO is also compact and truly cabin size. There's also Cybex Eezy. Cybex is available at Mothercare.
Very happy with the MeeMee stroller.
I got the R for Rabbit one as a gift and my kid loves it.
