Empowering mothers worldwide through connection, support, and shared experiences ✨
Experiences are mixed: several moms (and their friends) had successful vaginal births after induction, while some ended in emergency C-sections. Many feel the outcome depends heavily on the doctor and hospital, and coping tools like movement, a birthing ball and deep breathing helped.
⚠️ Caution:Induction management varies by provider. Discuss the plan and your doctor's/hospital's approach beforehand, and don't hesitate to ask questions about how it will be managed.
Moms facing induction, especially for a first birth, worry it 'often fails' and will end in a C-section. The community offers balanced reassurance: many moms and their friends did deliver vaginally after induction, the experience depends a lot on the doctor and hospital, and practical tools - movement, a birthing ball, deep breathing and a loved one's presence - genuinely help.
Here's what moms in our community shared based on their own experience.
Some inductions ended in emergency C-section.
Several moms had inductions and delivered vaginally - one carried a birthing ball, used gravity by standing and leaning on her husband, rested between contractions, and did cat-camel stretches. Another said deep breathing helps and having a loved one in the labour room gives strength.
One mom noted 3 of her friends were induced and all delivered vaginally.
Outcome has a lot to do with the doctor and hospital - some doctors take the easier path and don't manage induction as properly as they should.
