Empowering mothers worldwide through connection, support, and shared experiences ✨
Many moms notice that around 3 months babies suddenly become fussier and sleep worse for a few days or weeks, often due to growth spurts or developmental changes.
Here's what moms in our community shared based on their own experience.
Some moms mentioned that poor sleep and extra fussiness around 3 months turned out to be a growth spurt phase.
This phase can mean more crying, frequent waking, and needing more comfort, but it usually passes on its own.
If you’re worried about sleep plus weight gain or feeding, moms suggest checking with the pediatrician for reassurance.
You can't control it, it has to happen and pass. My baby who used to sleep 8 hours now wakes every 30-45 minutes all night.
Just power through the regression. I would co-sleep and feed my baby back to sleep. Most regressions lasted around 10-15 days for us.
Mine sleeps better swaddled when first put down; when he cries and wants to be free I unswaddle him and he sleeps.
This could be the 4-month sleep regression - new skills and instincts develop and night sleep gets impacted. It passes in approximately 3-4 weeks, although more such phases will come.
We're just going with the flow - babies will make their own schedule.
